Getting a taxi in Gavà

Ten minutes from the terminals, which makes it one of the easiest airport runs on the coast — and one of the cheapest.

Gavà sits just south of the airport along the C-31, close enough that a transfer is a genuinely short trip. For an early departure that matters more than the fare: a pick-up here at five in the morning puts you at the terminal before most people have finished their coffee.

The town splits in two and it is worth saying which you mean. Gavà itself is inland around the station and the old centre; Gavà Mar is the beach strip three kilometres further on, with the villas, the hotels and the pine woods. They are a five-minute drive apart but a long walk, so give me the address rather than just the town.

In summer the beach road fills at weekends and the approach to Gavà Mar can be slow in the late afternoon. It rarely adds much to an airport run, which goes the other way, but it is worth an extra ten minutes if you are heading to the sand on a July Saturday.
