Wheelchair-accessible taxi in Barcelona
Adapted vehicles with a ramp and floor anchors, in two sizes: one for the wheelchair user and up to three others, and a larger one for the wheelchair user and up to five. The supplement is listed below and appears in your price before you send anything.

What the vehicle is like
Access is by a fold-out rear ramp, and the chair is secured with four floor anchors and a separate occupant belt. A companion can sit alongside rather than in front.
It takes a standard manual or powered chair. Very large powered chairs and some scooters are close to the limit, so send me the model or the width and I will confirm honestly before you book rather than turn up with the wrong car.
Booking one
Tick the wheelchair option in the booking form and the adapted vehicle is selected. The supplement is added to the total straight away, so you see the full price before you send the booking.
Set the passenger count to everyone travelling, the wheelchair user included, and the right size is chosen: up to four goes in the smaller vehicle, five or six in the larger one, each priced like the minivan or the van it is. A few hours of notice is genuinely useful, because adapted vehicles are few. For an airport arrival, booking the day before is safest.
What to tell me when you book
Two things decide whether the trip works: the width of the chair and whether it is manual or powered. Standard manual and most powered chairs fit without trouble; a few large powered models and mobility scooters are close to the limit, so send me the model or the width and I will tell you honestly before you commit.
It also helps to know whether the passenger transfers to a seat or travels in the chair, and whether there is a step or a lift at the pick-up address. None of it changes the price — it just means the right car arrives at the right door.

Is there a supplement for the accessible taxi?
Yes, €15 per trip for the adapted vehicle, on top of the fare for your distance in the size you need. It is added to the total the moment you tick the box, so nothing appears at the end that you have not already seen.
How much notice do you need?
A few hours where possible, and the day before for an airport or cruise pick-up.
Can a companion travel too?
Yes. The smaller adapted vehicle takes the wheelchair user plus up to three seated passengers, and the larger one up to five.
Do you cover the towns around Barcelona?
Yes — the adapted vehicle goes anywhere the ordinary one does, which includes Hospitalet, Badalona, Cornellà, Sant Cugat, Castelldefels and Gavà as well as every district of Barcelona. Give me the address and the price is worked out to the door, the same way as any other trip.
