Arriving at BCN
I wait inside the arrivals hall with a sign showing your name — floor 0 at Terminal 1, opposite the baggage-reclaim exit at Terminal 2B. You do not need to find the taxi rank, join a queue or work out which exit you came through.
I check the flight number, so the pick-up moves to the time your plane actually lands and a delay costs you nothing — there is no need to warn me from the air. From that time I wait 30 minutes at no charge, and past that it is charged by the hour, pro rata. If immigration and baggage are going to take longer than that, message me when you land and I will time it to suit you.
If you would rather skip the arrivals hall entirely, I can meet you on the departures level instead. It is quieter and faster to drive away from.
Leaving from your hotel
For a departure I collect at the door at whatever time your flight needs, including the four in the morning starts. I would rather be ten minutes early than have you watch the clock.
As a rule of thumb, allow two hours before a Schengen departure and three for a long-haul one, plus the drive. Tell me your flight time and I will suggest a pick-up.
What the price covers
The fare for your actual distance, the airport access charge, all tolls and luggage for up to four passengers. Child seats and larger vehicles are added only if you ask for them, and are priced before you send anything.
A flat "airport to Barcelona" price does not reflect reality — the city is 15 km across. Your price is worked out from the driving distance to the address you actually give me.
Straight to your hotel door
Most arrivals are going to a hotel or an apartment, and that is a door-to-door job rather than a drop at a landmark. Give me the hotel name and I will find the address; give me the apartment address and the buzzer or floor if it is a building with several.
It matters more in some parts of the city than others. The Gothic Quarter and parts of Gràcia have streets a car cannot enter, so the drop is at the nearest corner and I carry the cases the rest of the way. Around Passeig de Gràcia and the Eixample the door is usually reachable, and on the Diagonal the loading restrictions change by the hour.
The price is worked out to the address you give, not to a zone, so a hotel near Sants and a hotel in Poblenou are not quoted the same figure for what is not the same trip.
Terminal 1 or Terminal 2?
They are 4 km apart and connected by a free shuttle bus that takes about ten minutes, so turning up at the wrong one costs real time. Book for the terminal your flight actually uses, and if you are unsure, send me the flight number instead — I will check it and confirm back.
Terminal 1 handles most long-haul and Vueling traffic; Terminal 2 handles most low-cost European flights, and splits into 2A, 2B and 2C along one long building. If your booking says T2 without a letter, meet me opposite the T2B baggage hall and I will guide you from there.
Groups, big luggage and children
If there are more than four of you, or the luggage will not fit a saloon boot, book a 6-seater or a 7-seater instead of two cars. You travel together and arrive together. Choose the vehicle in the booking form and the price updates straight away.
For children, tell me the age of each child when you book and the right seat goes in the car. A wheelchair-accessible taxi with a ramp is also available if you ask for it at booking.

How much is a taxi from Barcelona Airport to the city centre?
Booked with me, €46 to the city centre for up to four passengers, with the airport supplement, the tolls, the luggage and thirty minutes of waiting inside it. It is worked out on the real distance to your address, so put the hotel into the form and you see the exact figure before you book. Five or six of you need the minivan and seven or eight the van, and the form prices those as well.
How do I book a taxi from Barcelona Airport?
Put the flight number, the terminal and the address into the booking form, and the fixed price appears before you send anything. I confirm it personally, usually within minutes, and on the day I meet you inside arrivals with your name on a sign. Most trips are paid in the car, card or cash; on some I ask for a deposit or the fare in advance, and I tell you which when I confirm.
Do you meet passengers inside the terminal?
Yes, inside arrivals with a sign showing your name, at no extra cost. Tell me if you would prefer a kerbside pick-up instead.
How much waiting time is included?
30 minutes from the agreed pick-up time at an airport or cruise terminal, and 15 minutes anywhere else. For a flight or a ship, that time is moved to the real landing or docking time first, at no charge, so the delay itself never costs you anything. Beyond the free period, waiting is charged by the hour, pro rata.
Can I book a taxi for a 5 am flight?
Yes. Night and early-morning pick-ups are routine. They fall in the night tariff band, so they cost more than the same trip by day — put your real pick-up time into the form and the price shown is the one for that hour.
Is this a private transfer or a shared shuttle?
Private. The car carries your party and nobody else, it goes straight to your address, and it does not wait to fill up or make other stops on the way. A shared shuttle is cheaper per head and can add an hour to the journey while it drops other passengers first.
Do you transfer to hotels outside the city?
Yes — Castelldefels, Sitges, Gavà, Sant Cugat and the coastal towns are all regular runs, and so are the Costa Brava resorts. The price is calculated for the real distance, so a hotel 40 km out is not quoted as though it were in the Eixample.
