Who is responsible

QuickTaxiBCN, a licensed taxi service operating in Barcelona and the metropolitan area. For anything in this policy — including a request to see or delete your data — write to hello@quicktaxibcn.com and a person will answer.

What is collected, and only when you send a booking

Your name, your phone number, your pick-up and drop-off addresses, the date and time you want, how many passengers and suitcases, and anything you type in the notes. An email address if you book by email, and a flight or ship number if you give one.

Nothing is collected while you are only looking at prices. The quote calculator runs without you identifying yourself, and the form is not submitted until you press send.

No card details are ever collected, because payment happens in the car.

Why it is needed

To carry out the journey you asked for, and to confirm it back to you. That is a contract you have entered into by booking, which is the legal basis for handling it — not consent, and not legitimate interest.

Your phone number is needed because a driver who cannot reach you at an airport cannot find you. The flight number is used only to check whether your arrival has moved.

Who else sees it

Resend, which delivers the confirmation email. Vercel, which hosts the site and runs the servers your booking passes through. Both are used under data-processing terms and neither is permitted to use your details for anything else.

If your journey is covered by another licensed driver, they receive the pick-up details needed to complete it and nothing more.

Addresses you type into the search box are sent to Photon (Komoot) and Geoapify to be turned into map coordinates, and the route between two points is measured by the OSRM project. Map tiles come from OpenStreetMap. These receive the address text, not your name, phone number or booking.

Your details are never sold, never rented, and never passed to advertisers.

Visitor statistics

The site counts visits using Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights. Neither sets a cookie, neither stores an identifier, and neither can follow you to another website. That is why this site has no cookie banner: there is nothing to ask you to consent to.

How long it is kept

Booking messages and confirmation emails are kept while the trip is upcoming and for a reasonable period afterwards, so a receipt or a lost-property question can still be answered. Spanish tax law requires business records to be retained for several years, and where that applies it takes precedence over deletion.

Anything not needed for either purpose is deleted.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask for a copy of what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to hello@quicktaxibcn.com and it will be dealt with within a month, usually much sooner.

If you are not satisfied with the answer, you can complain to the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos.
