How booking a taxi in Barcelona works
There are three ways to get a taxi here. You can raise a hand at one of the green-light cars in the street, you can join a rank outside a station or a terminal, or you can arrange one in advance. The first two run on the meter and depend on what the traffic does that day.
Booking ahead is the third, and it is what this form does. You get a price agreed before you travel, a car held for your time, and a driver who already knows your flight number and where you are going.
What you need to have ready
Where you are being picked up and where you are going — an address, a hotel name, a terminal or the cruise berth. How many of you there are and how much luggage, because that decides the car. The date and time, and your flight or ship number if you have one.
That is all. No account, no card details, and nothing charged in advance.
After you send it
The booking lands on my phone and comes back confirmed in writing, usually within minutes — the car, the exact meeting point and the price. If anything about the trip needs changing, one message is enough, and cancelling is free up to 3 hours before the pick-up.
