Long distance taxi from Barcelona
A licensed Barcelona taxi for the trips that leave the metropolitan area — an airport in another province, a coast an hour and a half up the motorway, a ski resort across a border. One car, one driver, your door to the address you give me, with the tolls already inside a price agreed before you get in.

Where I actually drive
These are the runs I do often enough to have worked out properly, each with its own page and its own fixed price: Sitges at 41 km, the Costa Brava towns at about 95, PortAventura and Tarragona at 98, Girona airport at 103, Reus airport at 105, and Andorra at 200.
Anything further than Andorra is a conversation rather than a price list. Ask me, and I will tell you plainly whether I can take it and what it would cost — which is more useful than a page claiming every city in Spain.
The calculator does not stop at these six. Put any two addresses into it and you get a price for that exact distance, because the fare is worked out from the road rather than looked up in a table.
How a long trip is priced
Not on the city meter. A trip that leaves the metropolitan area is charged on its own rate, which is why ninety kilometres of motorway does not cost what ninety kilometres of stopping and starting through Barcelona would.
The tolls are inside the figure you are quoted. On these routes that matters more than it sounds: the AP-7 and the C-32 are most of the driving, and a quote that leaves the barriers out is not a quote.
The price is fixed before you book and does not move afterwards, whatever the traffic does. One thing it does depend on is when you travel: evenings, nights, the whole weekend and public holidays fall in the T-2 band and cost meaningfully more than a weekday afternoon. The calculator already knows that — put your real time in and the number you see is the number you pay.
When the train is the better answer
Often, and I would rather say so here than have you find out afterwards. Two adults with light bags travelling in the middle of the day will usually do better on the train to Sitges, Tarragona or Girona, and it will cost a fraction of a taxi.
A car earns its money on a long trip under narrower conditions: an early flight or a late arrival when nothing is running, a group of five or more, real luggage, small children, a connection you cannot afford to miss, or a destination like a PortAventura hotel entrance or an Andorran ski station where the public option leaves you with another leg to arrange.
Every route page on this site carries the honest comparison for that specific trip — time, cost per person, and who it is actually for. Read the one you need before you book anything.
Groups and luggage over a distance
Up to eight passengers in one licensed vehicle, which on a two-hour motorway run is the difference between one price and two cars that have to find each other at the far end.
Child seats are worth having properly fitted rather than improvised on a journey this length. Both a baby seat and a booster are available — add them when you book and you will see the price change before you send anything.
Skis, golf bags, instrument cases and pushchairs all need mentioning in advance. Most fit; a few do not, and I would rather tell you that a week early than at the kerb.
Questions and answers
Do you do long distance taxi trips from Barcelona?
Yes, and it is a good part of the work. Girona and Reus airports, Tarragona and PortAventura, the Costa Brava towns, Sitges and Andorra are all regular runs with a fixed price worked out in advance. One licensed taxi, door to door, tolls included.
How much does a long distance taxi from Barcelona cost?
It is worked out from the real driving distance at the intercity rate, with the tolls inside the figure. Sitges at 41 km is the nearest of them and Andorra at 200 km the furthest, so the range is wide — put your two addresses into the calculator and you will have the exact number for your trip before you book.
How far will you go?
The six routes above are the ones I drive regularly, and Andorra at 200 km is the longest of them. Further than that I will not promise on a web page — ask me with your dates and I will give you a straight answer and a real price rather than a maybe.
Does a long trip cost more at night or at the weekend?
Yes. Evenings, nights, the whole weekend and public holidays are tariff T-2, and on these longer routes that is a real difference rather than a rounding — the official tariff itself steps up in that band. The calculator prices your actual departure time, so you see it before you book instead of discovering it later.
Can you take a group on a long trip?
Up to eight in one vehicle. Tell me how many of you there are when you book and the right car is the one that comes; the price you are shown is already that vehicle rather than a saloon fare that changes later.
